The 2014 TREEDC  International Renewable Energy Conference will be held at TTU on Oct. 12-14. The big day will be Monday the 13th. The registration fee is $99.The Chamber of Commerce will sponsor two CCHS students and one teacher.  See the URL below and let Ms. White know as soon as possible if you would like to attend.  This is during our Fall Break. Seniors
The class of 2015 Senior parents will be selling mums now until they are sold out. Contact Tiff Brown, Susan Bailey or Tammy Norris.
--Remember Whens (Class Will 100 Word Minimum) are due by Friday, October 10, 2014 and Family Dedications (Appreciation Letter to Parents 70 Word Minimum) are due by Friday, October 10, 2014. If seniors fail to turn in either of these, one will be written for them.

volunteers are needed to work the Chili cook-off next weekend and the softball tournament the following weekend. Baked goods and soft drinks need to be turned in to Ms. Kim for these events as soon as possible.

THE STATE OF TENNESSEE HAS ANNOUNCED THAT CLAY COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL

 IS A 2014 REWARD SCHOOL FOR "PROGRESS,"  
which means that the emphasis we place on individual student
academic growth and mastery of standards resulted in so much growth

that we're in the top 5% of all school in the state of Tennessee.

 

 

 

CCHS Golf @ District Tournament

 

The golf team competed at Brainerd Golf Course in Chattanooga on Sept. 8th.

Kendal Johnson qualified for a spot in the regional tournament.

 

 

Tennessee Promise offers two years of tuition-free community or technical college to Tennessee high school graduates beginning with the Class of 2015.

Tennessee Promise is a last-dollar scholarship, meaning it will cover college costs not met from Pell, HOPE, or TSAA.

As part of the program, students will be paired with a partnering organization serving their home county and will be provided with a mentor who will support them during the college application process.

High school seniors may apply here for the Tennessee Promise scholarship

before November 1, 2014.
