THE STATE OF TENNESSEE HAS ANNOUNCED THAT CLAY COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL

 IS A 2014 REWARD SCHOOL FOR "PROGRESS,"  
which means that the emphasis we place on individual student
academic growth and mastery of standards resulted in so much growth

that we're in the top 5% of all school in the state of Tennessee.

 

 

 

CCHS Golf @ District Tournament

 

The golf team competed at Brainerd Golf Course in Chattanooga on Sept. 8th.

Kendal Johnson qualified for a spot in the regional tournament.

 

 

Tennessee Promise offers two years of tuition-free community or technical college to Tennessee high school graduates beginning with the Class of 2015.

Tennessee Promise is a last-dollar scholarship, meaning it will cover college costs not met from Pell, HOPE, or TSAA.

As part of the program, students will be paired with a partnering organization serving their home county and will be provided with a mentor who will support them during the college application process.

High school seniors may apply here for the Tennessee Promise scholarship

before November 1, 2014.

*The designated club joining day is Wednesday, August 27, 2014.  Students should have membership dues on hand to join their chosen organizations.  To join any club, a student must have a random drug screening form signed, notarized, and on file in the office.

Upper Cumberland Math Competition

A special thanks to all the students who participated in the Upper Cumberland Math Competition at

Tennessee Tech on April 17th. We had our best results in the history of our participation in the contest,

which is about 15 years.

Congratulations to Amelia Maxfield, who placed 10th in Algebra I, Tara Pedigo, who placed 4th in Algebra I,

and Austin Davidson, who placed 1st in Algebra I.

Congratulations to Alyssa Kendall for placing 5th in Algebra II and

to Andrew Meadows for placing 2nd in Algebra II.
