Student Scholarship Opportunity: Design the Program Cover for the 2015 Institute for CTE Educators

High school students (grades 9-12) have the chance to earn a $1,000 scholarship to the Tennessee public postsecondary school of their choice for designing the program cover for the 2015 Institute for CTE Educators.

 Information

·         Design Format: Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop

·         Colors: Full Color   ·         Cover size: Overall 11 x 17 folded to 8.5 x 11 for front cover design

·         Copy must include the following information on the front cover

·         Name of Institute: 2015 Institute for CTE Educators   ·         Theme: Expanding Opportunities for Students

·         Date: July 6-10      ·         Location: Music City Center, Nashville

Sponsored by: The Tennessee Department of Education and the Division of Career and Technical Education (must include logo for the Tennessee Department of Education)

 Requirements

·     Completed Application       ·    Signed Permission Form

·      Art work submitted by deadline     ·    Electronic copy for both the 11x17 and 8.5x11 art, as well as a JPEG

 Submit requirements to Andrea.Self@tn.gov by April 3, 2015. The winning design will be announced by April 30, 2015. The scholarship will be given to the postsecondary school designated by the winner upon enrollment.

THE STATE OF TENNESSEE HAS ANNOUNCED THAT CLAY COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL

 IS A 2014 REWARD SCHOOL FOR "PROGRESS,"  
which means that the emphasis we place on individual student
academic growth and mastery of standards resulted in so much growth

that we're in the top 5% of all school in the state of Tennessee.

 

 

 

CCHS Golf @ District Tournament

 

The golf team competed at Brainerd Golf Course in Chattanooga on Sept. 8th.

Kendal Johnson qualified for a spot in the regional tournament.

 

 

Tennessee Promise offers two years of tuition-free community or technical college to Tennessee high school graduates beginning with the Class of 2015.

Tennessee Promise is a last-dollar scholarship, meaning it will cover college costs not met from Pell, HOPE, or TSAA.

As part of the program, students will be paired with a partnering organization serving their home county and will be provided with a mentor who will support them during the college application process.

High school seniors may apply here for the Tennessee Promise scholarship

before November 1, 2014.
